My call didn't work. Why?
First, check that the call appeared in the program. If not, this could be a problem with a network or wire connection — check that your internet is working, and if you have a VOIP adapter (gateway), such as a Linksys or Sipura model, make sure that its connections to power, internet, and the telephones are all connected well.
If the call appears in the program, make sure that the number is correct. Phone numbers should be dialed as follows:
00 (country code) (number, as dialed from outside the country)For more information, please see our telephone number page.
Don't forget that sometimes it's necessary to try a number more than once before it works.
My call is counting, but I'm not talking to anyone!
This could be because the call went to voicemail, or because there was some problem with the call. Please, check that you dialed the number correctly. If the number is correct and the call didn't go to voicemail, please write a note in the program on the call which had a problem, so we can investigate.
Remember: if a call is hung up before it passes 8 seconds, it won't cost anything, so try to hang up quickly when a call has problems. When a call starts counting, you will hear a beep on the phone, and the program will show you that the call is counting.
